AFTER TAX DAY SCRAMBLE - MAY 5

You've hunted down all your W-2's, tallied all your receipts, and affixed your postage just in time for the mailman. Tax day has come and gone, but the scramble isn't over yet.
The Recreation Department is hosting its eighth annual "After Tax Day Scramble" golf tournament SATURDAY, MAY 5, at the Mad Russian Golf Club in Milliken. Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m. and play begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Four-person teams of all abilities may compete in men's, women's or coed divisions. Coed teams must consist of at least two women. Golfers may also register individually, and they will be placed on teams.
Cost is $50 per player, or $55 if registering after April 13. Entry fee includes nine holes of golf with cart, breakfast and lunch, individual hole prizes and team prizes.
Special tournament features include "tax extensions" (3 feet of string used to reduce strokes on the putting green) and "tax deductions" (mulligans) that are available for purchase. There will also be a silent auction throughout the tournament that will showcase items from area businesses.
All proceeds go to benefit recreation and leisure opportunities for older adults in the Fort Collins area. For information about the "After Tax Day Scramble" or to register yourself or a foursome, contact Steve Budner at (970) 221-6861.
